ECU Remapping

ECU remapping allows your car to work to its full potential; it will improve the engine's power and torque and give you better fuel economy by sharpening the throttle response.
This is all done through your car's ECU which means there are no added chips or hard wires.

 

You can expect to achieve up to 40% more power and torque and a sharper throttle response which will improve your fuel economy.
 

This is great for fixing common "flat spot" issues with some cars that have a  delayed accelerator response. It is especially good for 4x4 and Diesel cars that often lack the power they need under load, for tradies that have a ute full of heavy tools and for all your towing needs!

We understand that sometimes it can be a bit confusing with all the technical terms and mixed information about ECU remapping.
Here are some of the most common questions we get asked -for anything else please feel free to call us and we will be happy to answer any questions you may have!

WHAT?

What is an ECU (Engine Control Unit)
It is essentially your car's brain!

Using various sensors throughout the engine it is able examine many parameters including the engines temperature, accelerator angle, the amount of oxygen and turbo pressure and the quantity of fuel passed through the injectors.
All of these have "factory settings" that we are able to elaborate to give your car the performance it was born to have!

HOW?

We read you car's current file thought the OBD port, it is then downloaded and sent to our technician who will personally enhance you file to suit you car and needs.
It is then reloaded back into your car's ECU and you're ready to go!
 

FUEL ECONOMY?

We recommend driving you car for a few weeks after the remap and then comparing your fuel consuption.
Once the initial excitement of your 'new car' has worn off a bit you will be able to notice an improvement in you fuel economy as you will require less throttle input to maintain speeds thanks to the extra torque and the bottom rev range.

SAFE?

We only enhance the file within safe parameters for your particular vehicle.
It up to you how much more power you are willing to go for.
We offer a three stage process where the first stage offers a slight change to the original file the second is the most common as it is just that bit extra to enjoy you car for everyday use and the third stage to really feel what your can is capable of!
